Selvakumar chelapandian On OTT : Director Selvakumar Chellapandian’s film ‘Ward 126’ is all set for release. He says that releasing a film on an OTT platform is not as easy as it seems because there are long queues of films. The director said, “We are planning to release the film in theaters at the earliest as we are already likely to suffer financial losses as a result of the outbreak of Kovid due to a long wait.”
The director said, ‘We are deciding to release our film in theaters as soon as possible. We will make an official announcement about the release soon. However the director also said, “At the same time, we are keeping our doors open for good OTT offers as well. There is a misconception that releasing a film on an OTT platform is an easy deal. The truth is that you have to wait a long time for it.” Might have to do because there are long queues of films.
‘Ward 126’, a romantic investigative thriller film with emphasis on personal ethics, stars Vidya Pradeep, Sritha Shivdas and Shruti Ramakrishna in the lead roles. Produced by SSB Talkies, this women-centric film stars Michael Thangadurai and Jishnu Menon in the lead roles. Apart from these actors, Sonia Agarwal and Shriman will be seen playing important characters in the film. Selvakumar Chellapandian further said, “Every industry has a different side. In fact, it is an essential part of any industry. I have made this film based on my experiences and encounters in those darkness. Titled ‘Ward 126’ The end will be the beginning.”
The pandemic had reached its peak when we were shooting for this film. However, we have fought against all odds, faced many challenges and managed to complete this film. We shot the film in Chennai, Bangalore and Noida. The cinematography of the film was done by S.K. Suresh Kumar, while the music is by Varun Sunil and Tyagu has handled the editing.
